I want to talk

18 October 2026 · Seen by each other. Seen for ourselves.

Dear

I want to talk of the darkness
I want to talk of the forbidden, the forgotten, the camouflage power of creation
I want to talk of the moves, the smells, the taste
I want to talk of the blood, the rituals, the tents, the lodges, the water
I want to talk of the solitude and the sisterhood
I want to talk of the self-massage, the pleasure
I want to talk of the pains, the perpetrators, the victims, the abuse
I want to talk with you
I want to talk together

There were tents for this once, the old stories say
lodges where the blood was welcomed
where we sat close enough to smell each other's hair
and the talk moved from mouth to mouth

then the tents were folded
we learnt to bleed quietly
to keep the talk behind our teeth
to smile

I fly alone
for years on end
I trust no maps
I talk to no one

For a long time I moved rapidly between two truths. My body as sacred, and my body as secular. Both true, and both on the edge of false, when I could no longer know what was true for me. In this very body, with all the taboos, the objectification of her, the expectations of what she should be.

What brought me back was what I was experiencing in my body, as I deepened into my relationship with my womb, and the conversations I was having with women. We heal in relation. With our body, and with each other. And that relation can be painful, can be frustrating, can be triggering.

I know this is a deep topic. I can feel the part of me that wants to run away from it even as I write. Maybe you feel her too.

When a woman shares the details of her story, it brings real sensations to my body. Her tears, her closeness, her craving. Words spoken create the healing. In connection we heal.

Whatever you have kept behind your teeth, you can bring it here. You can sit in the tent and listen, witness and be with. Her healing is the healing of our daughters and our mothers.

Seen by each other. Seen for ourselves.

Womb Shakti begins on Wednesday 21 October. Let's talk about what we've been taught not to talk about. Let's move our bodies they have craved to move. If this letter reached you, you are invited.

If you would like to talk with me before you decide, write, and we will take fifteen minutes. And if you would rather begin quietly, on your own first, there is a free practice here.

If a woman came to mind while you were reading, send this to her. And if something in you wants to talk, come sit in the tent with me.

with sisterhood and intention,
