The movement is one of quickening.
Imbolc is the threshold into the returning light. Something is awakening with us, the first stirring under the frozen ground, not yet spring but no longer the deep dark. The energies of Imbolc are quickening, tending, the first flame and the moving water, the desires that move upward to be seen.
Often rushed past in our society, which wants the bloom without the tending. Some of us don't like change, and new beginnings can be hard: we are seduced by staying still, or we rush too quickly and lose our roots. The rhythm of Imbolc reminds us that what will flower in summer is being decided now, quietly, in the dark, and asks to be protected rather than displayed.
Together we will explore the wisdom of Imbolc in our current rhythms of life, move with the intelligence of the season and nourish ourselves through community.
